The magnification area

The magnification area in Color Picker Pro's main window displays a magnified image of the area beneath your current cursor position. Because zeroing in on a particular color value sometimes involves having to select the color of a single pixel, Color Picker Pro allows you to progressively increase magnification in the magnification area up to 32x using the key combination: ⌘+ or by alternately selecting Zoom In from the Image menu. To progressively decrease the magnification use the key combination: ⌘- or select Zoom Out from the Image menu. The magnification level of the magnification area can also be changed by using the scroll wheel on your mouse, trackpad scrolling on laptops or some other scrolling related input device.

At any time the image in the magnification area can be locked in place using the key combination: ⌘L . Once locked you can click on any pixel in the magnification area which will then change the live color to the selected pixel color and re-center the locked image to the selected point. You can also drag and drop any pixel in the locked magnification area to another application or any of Color Picker Pro's stored color areas. The locked image can be unlocked using the key combination: ⌘L .

Color Picker Pro has a number of preferences for controlling the look and behavior of the magnification area. These preferences can be found in the Magnification section of the application's preferences panel. The preferences panel can be opened with the key combination: ⌘, or by selecting Preferences... in the Color Picker Pro menu.
