Sharing a Local Project
See Also
If you are logged in to Kenai, you can create
a new Kenai project by sharing a project that exists on your local system.
When you create a project, the IDE creates a project page on Kenai.com and
starts the services associated with the project.
The IDE also creates a local versioned repository for the project.
If you create a Kenai project you are automatically assigned the role of administrator.
Notes.
- You must be logged in to Kenai to create a Kenai project.
- You cannot use the wizard to share projects that are
already under version control.
To share a local NetBeans project as a Kenai project:
- Log in to Kenai by choosing Team > Kenai > Login to Kenai from the main menu.
- In the Projects window, right-click the project that
you want to share and choose Share on Kenai from the popup menu.
- Specify the project location and details. Click Next.
- Specify the versioning system for the project.
- Specify any additional folders that you want to add to the project.
- Specify an issue tracking system (optional).
- Select Commit the source into repository (optional).
- Click Finish.
When you click Finish, the IDE creates the Kenai project and adds the project
to the Kenai dashboard.
The project source files are available to anyone to download, but only project members can
commit changes to the repository.
