WeatherMin Icon

The Desktop Window

When WeatherMin is running you'll see your current forecast and weather conditions on your desktop, behind your other applications (you may need to minimize or hide your open windows to see it). You can change the text that's shown in the Desktop Window by selecting a different theme in Preferences.

You can move the Desktop Window by clicking and dragging it anywhere on your desktop. Depending on the theme you choose, it can sometimes be hard to click on WeatherMin and not the desktop behind it. To make it easier to move, a dark frame is drawn behind the Desktop Window while the Preferences Window is open. When you've positioned the window where you want it, you can command-click on the Desktop Window and select Lock Position to keep it from accidentally moving in the future.

Tip: some color combinations look better than others. Experiment with WeatherMin's preferences to choose a look that works best for your desktop wallpaper.
